Cha Dao: Black Tea and Coffee – Yin Yang

Friday, July 4th, 2008

Cha DaoPersonally, this was one of my favorite chilled teas at this year’s World Tea Expo. I sampled every flavor they offer at their booth – all were excellent. The Yin Yang floored me with the first drink. It was an arctic blast of Yunnan (if there could be such a thing). I was tasting this lush loose leaf Yunnan flavor mixed with a little Pu-erh and a splash of java. Damn that was good. It was so good, I had to ask for a bottle to try – the sample wasn’t enough. I went to the food court near the WTE and sat down with a slice of cheese pizza and my Cha Dao fresh from the showroom floor (the pic was taken with my cell phone @ the Mandalay). I can’t say enough about the freshness of this ready-to-drink tea. This is an excellent crossover beverage. Cha Dao has a product that can easily get non-tea drinkers interested. It’s the kind of product I want everyone to try – especially those that aren’t typically interested in tea. The coffee flavor isn’t strong. With the power of Yunnan in this bottle, the coffee flavor is just a perfect compliment. The drink is perfectly sweetened with a touch of organic cane sugar. If you’re interested in the coffee…it’s Kaladi Brothers’ Red Goat Blend.
