Gold Peak’s Unsweetened Iced Tea
Saturday, September 22nd, 2007
I’ve seen this bottled beverage around the grocery stores, and I finally had time to try a few of their selections. I went with the unsweetened black tea to start. I wanted to see what they had to offer at the purist level. First off, this is a large 16.9 fluid ounce glass bottle. The bottle shape reminds me of a smaller bottle of wine. This tea is obviously low in calories because it is completely unsweetened. The tea has a natural black tea scent to it - nothing flashy. I found the beverage to be refreshing, but it was not as flavorful as other unsweetened black teas I’ve tried. That might come down to personal preference. I just wished it had a stronger brew flavor to it. That said, this tea is very refreshing and the natural flavors are welcoming. It’s just a little weak for me. If you like a lighter, crisp, unsweetened iced tea, this could be a good grab for you at your local grocery store.
