Inko’s: White Tea Blueberry
Thursday, November 6th, 2008
I’m very impressed with Inko’s white tea beverages. I started to drink the blueberry flavored ready-to-drink iced tea yesterday, and it was easily one of the best blueberry flavored RTDs I’ve ever tried. This flavored (glass-bottled) beverage actually tastes like fresh blueberries with a splash of white tea. Some blueberry beverages taste like candy - not this one. It has just the right amount of sweetness to pull it all together - 56 calories per bottle.
Inko’s describes the tea as: Blueberries ain’t just for baking pies folks. Who knew those plump little guys tasted so good when you combine them with rare white tea? Inko’s Blueberry gives you that beautiful berry taste mixed with just a tiny bit of tartness.and it won’t stain your fingers purple!

My wife found this tea at our local grocery store. She grabbed a couple of flavors for me to try. I’ve never seen or heard of Inko’s until I opened my refrigerator this morning. It’s a glass bottled ready-to-drink white tea. There are only 56 calories and 14 grams of sugar per 16 FL OZ. That’s not bad at all compared to many other bottled tea selections. The tea itself has a very subtle white tea flavor. There are no bitter or grassy flavors derived from this beverage. In fact, there’s a touch of organic ginger to add some value and flavor to the delicious white tea. Although it’s not packed with sugar, it still has a very enjoyable sweetness about it. The bottle states its ingredients are 100% natural. Inko’s white tea (original) is very refreshing. I do recommend trying this tea if you see it in your local grocery store. You’ll be pleasantly surprised.
Dr. Tea has been all over the Internet and TV-land promoting his book titled
Fuze has one of the most decorative bottle labels I’ve ever seen. They don’t waste any real estate on the bottle letting the consumer know exactly what to expect.
I saved the best for last…The mango flavored Revolution 3D beverage was awesome. The lush mango fruit flavors were perfectly sweetened with blue agave and pure cane sugar. This tropical delight is infused with white tea and vitamins. The combination of all the ingredients create the synergistic effect known as 3D. I’ve officially tried all four flavors of the 3D beverage line. Each flavor was enjoyable. If I had to pick a favorite of mine, I’d say it was the mango followed by the blueberry.
I’ve always enjoyed citrus flavored teas. Having said that, I thought I’d try Lipton’s PureLeaf white tea - Tangerine flavored. At my local grocery store, the PureLeaf products were two for one dollar. I couldn’t pass up that deal. I don’t drink a lot of Lipton products anymore, but it’s important for me to drink RTD (ready-to-drink) beverages that I know are consumed by the masses. Lipton has the kind of reach that most beverage/tea companies can only dream of; however, most tea companies are distancing themselves from products similar to this. The move has been toward organic ingredients and agave or pure cane sugar for sweetening. Can you really taste the difference? Yes!
Dr. Tea’s Tea Garden & Herbal Emporium offers one of the best flavored white teas I’ve ever tried: Blueberry Pie White Tea. This tea is a total treat from start to finish. The fine white peony adds to the presentation of the dried product. The aroma of the dried Canadian Blueberries is absolutely breathtaking. What makes this tea special is the delicate balance of a fresh, light, naturally sweet white peony mixed with the natural flavor of fresh-picked blueberries. You will smile as you drink this tea. White tea is low in caffeine, but it is high in flavor and antioxidants. If you really want to treat yourself to an excellent loose leaf white tea, this is it.
